Four-Step Rigorous Quality Control Process
To guarantee that every batch of stainless steel pipes and fittings meets your exact specifications, Alltrust enforces an independent, rigorous Four-Step Quality Control System. Here is how we secure your supply chain.
Quality starts with choosing the right melt. We only procure from trusted, ISO-certified mills that match our strict criteria.
- Spectrographic Analysis: We independently audit the raw material billets. Optical emission spectroscopy verifies the exact levels of Chromium, Nickel, Molybdenum, Carbon, and Nitrogen against international grade specifications (such as ASTM, ASME, EN, DIN). Any heat falling outside the limits is immediately rejected.
- Full Traceability: Every raw material lot is locked with a unique heat number. We ensure that every single pipe and fitting can be traced back to its original steel heat.
We don’t just wait for the final product; we actively monitor the manufacturing lifecycle at our partner facilities.
- Thermal Process Audits: We verify that heating temperatures hit the optimal plasticity threshold to prevent internal tearing during piercing.
- Dimensional Accuracy: Our team reviews real-time laser measurement data for wall thickness and outer diameter tolerances during cold rolling and drawing.
- Surface Integrity: We oversee the heat treatment cycles, bright annealing, pickling, and grinding processes to restore the steel’s crystalline structure and ensure maximum corrosion resistance.
Before any cargo leaves the warehouse, it must pass our critical non-destructive and destructive testing criteria to confirm structural integrity.
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT):
- oEddy Current Testing: To detect surface and sub-surface flaws.
- oUltrasonic Testing: To check for internal voids or wall thickness inconsistencies.
- oHydrostatic Testing: Pressurizing the pipes with water to ensure absolute leak-proof performance under service conditions.
- Destructive Testing: We request and review flattening, flaring, and tensile tests performed on sample coupons to verify material ductility and mechanical strength.
The final step ensures that what you receive is perfectly documented, securely packed, and fully certified.
- Visual & Packing Audit: A final manual check for surface finish, marking/stenciling accuracy, and seaworthy packaging to prevent transit damage.
- Documentary Handover: We provide a complete quality assurance package, including authentic Mill Test Certificates (MTC) to EN 10204 3.1/3.2, PMI reports, and shipping documents, ensuring seamless customs clearance and compliance at your job site.
