Product Description

ASTM A312 TP310S Pipe | Premium High-Temperature Austenitic Stainless Steel Piping Solutions for Extreme Thermal Environments

HEBEI ALL TRUST STEEL CO.,LTD manufactures astm a312 tp310s pipe engineered with an advanced 25% chromium and 20% nickel alloy composition.

This austenitic stainless steel pipe has high heat resistance. It holds up well in continuous thermal zones of 1100°C. Our TP310S pipes are manufactured according to the stringent ASTM A312/ASME SA312 standards. We produce over 15,000 tons annually and subject all our pipes to hydraulic testing. Our pipes are capable of a maximum outer diameter of up to 1016mm. All pipes are solution annealed at 1040°C–1150°C and undergo extensive PMI testing. We are a leading manufacturer with over 15 years experience in providing premium-grade pipe solutions for petrochemical furnaces, industrial kilns and high-temperature boiler systems globally, supported by EN 10204 3.1/3.2 Mill Test Certificates.

Understanding ASTM A312 TP310S Pipe Material Composition

TP310S is one of the most thermally resistant austenitic stainless steels available for demanding industrial applications. 310S is the low carbon stabilised version of the 310 series developed for high temperature use and to withstand carbide precipitation during welding.

The alloy architecture has about 25% chromium and 20% nickel, which forms a strong protective oxide layer. The high chromium content offers a robust barrier to scaling throughout the oxidation cycles. Its high nickel concentration makes sure that the austenitic phase is stable and that it will not change its phase even under tremendous heat stress.

The carbon concentration is deliberately kept below 0.08% to greatly reduce the possibility of sensitisation in the heat affected zones. This low-carbon formulation allows the product to preserve its corrosion resistance integrity across welded joints without mandatory post-weld heat treatment in most applications.

Packaging and Shipping

Manufacturing Process and Quality Control

HEBEI ALL TRUST STEEL use two main manufacturing routes for TP310S pipe manufacturing route. The technique of hot piercing and rotary piercing is used for production of the heavy seamless pipes with consistent grain structure and without longitudinal seams. The seamless construction removes any possible weak spots that may concentrate the strains of thermal expansion.

For bigger diameter applications, precise automated straight-seam welding using modern ERW or laser welding technology, provides constant wall thickness profiles. Each welded pipe is tested by 100% eddy current testing to determine the integrity of the welds and locate any subsurface discontinuities.

All pipes are subjected to obligatory solution annealing heat treatment after forming procedures. Pipes are consistently heated to 1040°C–1150°C in controlled-atmosphere furnaces, kept at temperature for full carbide dissolution, then quickly cooled by water quenching or forced air cooling. This thermal cycle is optimal for metallurgical construction for best performance at high temperatures.

Our quality control lab does complete chemical analysis by optical emission spectrometry to ensure chromium, nickel and carbon levels satisfy stringent ASTM A312 compositional criteria. The mechanical property validation comprises tensile testing at extreme temperatures, which represent the real service conditions that your systems will be exposed to.

Core Performance Advantages

Excellent Oxidation Resistance: The chromium-nickel formulation is very concentrated and forms a very persistent protective oxide film. Your pipe systems can withstand repeated heat cycling from ambient to peak operating temperatures and preserve their structural integrity.

Exceptional Creep Strength: TP310S maintains its mechanical strength under continuous load at high temperatures, unlike typical austenitic grades. This feature eliminates sagging, distortion or premature failure in horizontal furnace tube applications.

Thermal Expansion Stability : The austenitic crystal structure gives consistent coefficients of thermal expansion. With confidence you may design your support systems and expansion joints knowing that your dimensional change estimates are correct across your operational temperature range.

Benefits of Seamless Architecture: Our seamless astm a312 tp310s pipe has no longitudinal weld seams, making it ideal for sensitive high pressure applications. This homogenous body construction eliminates possible locations of thermal expansion mismatch and points of stress concentration.

Full Test Validation: All production lots are tested using a specialised high temperature tensile test. Representative samples are evaluated under the same temperature circumstances as your service . Thus you have recorded evidence of mechanical performance .

Industrial Applications

Petrochemical Processing: Furnace tubes, radiant coil assemblies and pipework of the cracking unit in which hydrocarbon streams are heated to temperatures above 1000°C. Oxidation resistance inhibits tube wall thinning that would impair system safety.

Power Generation Facilities Boiler superheater tubes, reheater sections, steam header pipework for coal-fired, biomass, and waste-to-energy facilities. TP310S protects the integrity of pressure boundaries during high temperature gradients.

Heat Treatment Operations: Industrial kiln linings, annealing furnace conveyors, carburising environment pipework. The material is resistant to scale and carburization that would destroy standard stainless steels.

Thermal Processing Equipment: calcination rotary kilns, sintering furnace components and high temperature oxidation reactors for mineral processing and advanced ceramics manufacture.

Waste Incineration Systems. Gas handling ducting, ash handling pipes and heat recovery exchanger tubes when corrosive combustion products are exposed to severe temperatures.
